Route Sizer by DILIENGE

Engineering studies for utility-scale solar

Explore more alternatives. Reduce costs. Accelerate engineering.

Route Sizer automates the generation and evaluation of medium-voltage collector routing and cable-sizing alternatives, reducing repetitive manual work so your team can focus on engineering decisions.

IEC 60287-based cable calculations, validated against reference cases within their tested scope.Project-specific conditions are checked during the engineering study.

Alternative comparison

Even six inverters allow dozens of alternative connections. Imagine the possibilities in a larger solar project.

Four examples. Dozens of possibilities.Compare four illustrative layouts for the same six-inverter network.

The engineering question

Many possible routes. Different costs. One has the lowest cost.

Route length alone does not determine a collector-network cost. Routing geometry, cable sizing and shared-trench conditions need to be evaluated together under the study assumptions.

01

Routing

Collector paths respond to the plant layout, crossings and project constraints.

02

Cable sizing

Candidate conductor configurations influence quantities and estimated costs.

03

Shared trenches

When cables are grouped together, they heat one another, adding complexity to the problem.

Study process

A documented comparison, structured for engineering review.

  1. 01

    Discuss objectives and inputs

Align the project stage, available information and decisions the study should support.

  2. 02

    Confirm scope and assumptions

Define boundaries, cost assumptions, constraints and comparison criteria.

  3. 03

    Generate and evaluate

Develop candidate routing and cable-sizing alternatives consistently.

  4. 04

    Deliver for review

Present the assumptions, alternatives and findings for the engineering team’s assessment.

Proposed deliverables

The evidence your team needs to compare alternatives.

Exact deliverables are agreed during scoping and adapted to the project stage and available inputs.

Every deliverable is verified by an experienced engineer before submission.Automation accelerates the analysis. You receive an engineer-reviewed study, prepared for professional decision-making.
